Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical
The life and music of reggae legend Bob Marley is brought to the stage in this inspiring new musical, which features beloved hit songs such as 3 Little Birds, No Woman No Cry and Exodus. Following succesful workshops held in 2019 by production companies Playful Productions, Stage Play and Trim the Wind, this world-first production will move into the Lyric Theatre after it is refurbished following the close of Thriller. Arinzé Ken (Death of a Salesman) stars as Bob Marley, while Clint Dyer (Death of England) directs. Lee Hall, writer of Billy Elliot, provides a book that portrays a sensitive story of this music icon. This new musical will set the Lyric Theatre alight with the heart and soul of reggae. It is a powerful celebration of one of the genre’s greatest champions.
